Stansted Mountfitchet, Essex

Martin Grant Homes continues to achieve planning on its strategic Land Bank – a 10.3 hectare site in Stansted Mountfitchet, Essex, in a joint venture with Bloor Homes. The site is currently in agricultural use and Martin Grant Homes obtained planning on the 25th September, with work due to commence in autumn 2014.

The 10.3 hectare site is situated on the Walpole Farm site, to the north of Stansted Mountfitchet village. The new development will include approximately 160 new homes, 80 of which will be built in the Martin Grant Homes style. Approximately 40% of the houses will be affordable homes in clusters of no more than ten units; however the exact number and mix will be determined through reserved matters and applications over the coming months. The scheme also includes up to 600 square metres of commercial (B1) floor-space, approximately 0.45 hectares of land reserved for a potential pre-school facility, allotments, community woodland, public open space and parking.
