The TfL have lobbied for an overground station at Old Oak Common and have sighted numerous benefits including:
- Offers substantial dispersal relief to Euston –10% of HS2 passengers would use Old Oak Common instead
- Allows for a new interchange in west London – bringing 250,000 more people within an hour of Old Oak Common,
- including linking to other OAs
- Allows greater access to HS2 for vast swathes of west, north-west and south-west London
- Overground station could facilitate large scale regeneration at Old Oak Common – up to 20,000 more jobs
