The new £20 million Oakland Village development in Hall Farm Road combines ‘extra care’ apartments purpose-built for people aged over 55 years with 24/7 on-site care for residents that need it, a community care centre specialising in providing care for people with complex needs including dementia care and a number of day services.
There will also be a range of facilities which will be open to the local community including a shop, restaurant, pub and gym.
The development is a partnership between Derbyshire County Council, Trident Housing Association and South Derbyshire District Council and its aim is to provide a focal point for older people’s services in the area as well as high quality, purpose-built accommodation.
