Papworth Hospital has been given the go-ahead to proceed with building a new state-of-the-art hospital on a world-class biomedical campus in Cambridge following HM Treasury approval in May 2014.
This historic milestone comes after Papworth Hospital announced its intention to appoint its preferred bidder, Skanska, in December 2013.
The new purpose-built hospital will be built on the Cambridge Biomedical Campus and will include 310-beds with virtually 100% single rooms, outpatient services and a wide range of diagnostic and treatment facilities.
