Lewisham is a vibrant part of London with a strong community, good shopping centre and great transport links.
However, the Loampit Vale roundabout effectively cuts off the town centre not only from the DLR and train station, but also from many nearby residential communities.
By removing the roundabout and creating Lewisham Gateway, these areas will be reconnected with Lewisham’s town centre, provide pedestrian-friendly shop-lined links as well as new high quality homes and deliver a new large open space at the heart of the proposals, Confluence Place.
Planning permission for the masterplan, the new road network the first two buildings and Confluence Place has been granted.
