King Edward VII Hospital is a unique and interesting group of Grade II and Grade II* listed buildings. The site itself lies within the Sussex Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) which in March 2010 became part of the South Downs National Park. The core area of the site adjacent to the hospital is listed as Grade II in the English Heritage Register of Parks and Gardens of Special Historical Interest in England.
Having now laid empty for seven years a viable solution to protect these nationally important historic buildings and landscape a revised plan has now been approved by South Down National Park Authority.
City & Country will now begin the important work of repairing and restoring the Estate’s historic buildings, including the main Sanatorium building and the Chapel.
