A newly refurbished Impulse Leisure Chanctonbury fully reopened last week, welcoming more than 50 guests and VIPs for to the launch night event.
The leisure centre in Storrington, West Sussex, was officially reopened by Wing Commander John Bell MBE DFC (Distinguished Flying Cross). Bell is one of the very few aircrew who served in the Lancaster Bombers during the Second World War.
Since work began in August, Impulse Leisure Chanctonbury has undergone a £740,000 redevelopment to ensure the centre is fresh and rejuvenated for members.
Lead architects Groma together with Lifetime Construction installed a mezzanine floor, which doubles the size of the fitness suite to 260 sq m (2,805 sq ft). More than £250,000 was invested in new Technogym Excite+ CV and Element+ resistance equipment, plus a Kinesis functional training station.
