Plans to build a new primary school on the site of what was once Henry Mellish School in Nottingham have been approved.
The primary school will serve as an extension to Heathfield Primary and Nursery School on Scotland Road, catering for 420 pupils and 52 nursery age children aged three to 11 years.
Expansion to the existing school forms part of a broader programme of works to expand primary schools across Nottingham and to increase the number of school places available.
Nottingham-based architects CPMG have been chosen to design the school which is being delivered by Wates Construction for Nottingham City Council.
