The business case reports that a vibrant, redeveloped Devonshire Park could generate an extra £1m a year, as compared to other entertainment complexes, through saving on costs currently incurred on the energy inefficient and maintenance intensive buildings, alongside direct income from increased audiences and sales.
An additional £4.5m boost for the local economy is also forecast by strengthening Eastbourne’s reputation as a leading conference and exhibition venue while also cementing the town’s relationship with the Lawn Tennis Association.
A trio of contractors have been appointed for the Devonshire Park development marking another step forward for the £35million pound project.
