Burley House, which is located on Clarendon Road close to the University of Leeds, has been granted full planning permission and listed building consent by Leeds City Council for six one-bedroom and two two-bedroom apartments as well as eight studios within the original building. A further seven studios and a one bedroom and two bedroom apartment will sit within a newly designed building adjacent to Burley House.
The original features of Burley House, which include an impressive full height semi-circular corner bay on the arcaded basement storey, will be retained as part of the development and a garden that was previously tarmacked will be restored in the building’s grounds. The internal remodelling of Burley House will begin in August 2015 and the whole scheme is set for completion by summer 2016.
