The Spa at Bedford Lodge, which opened in early July, is housed in a stunning Victorian property adjacent to the 77 bedroom hotel. The building, which once formed part of the estate of the sixth Duke of Bedford, has been sympathetically restored to retain some of its original features, such as high ceilings and the grand staircase.
Commenting on the company’s involvement in the development, Nick Fayers, Managing Director at Barnes Construction, said: “Our portfolio includes a number of high profile restoration projects, so we know how to work sensitively within high value environments. This level of experience enables us to seamlessly combine the old with the new, without detracting from the historical magnificence of a property, which is precisely what we have achieved at The Spa.”
The Spa at Bedford Lodge is open to the public by appointment for a range of treatments as well as day spa and residential spa breaks.
