As one of Europe’s leading kitchen manufacturers, Keller Kitchens, with an HQ in Holland, has enjoyed a remarkable year in the UK. Keller Kitchens talk to Tim Spann about the challenges it brought; and how 2021 looks.
2020 has been a challenging year for Keller and the kitchen industry in general in the UK; yet we have been delighted with the huge levels of business – in particular, since the mid-point of the year. The second half of 2020 exceeded all expectations by a considerable margin.
As a business which operates on an international basis, substantial year-on-year growth has been achieved for the fifth consecutive year. Throughout the year, our different international markets have switched on and off at different times due to the local issues with Covid 19. Overall, we are delighted to end the year where we are.
We are also genuinely excited about 2021 and the expected growth after gains in our key channels.
Retail is strong leading into 2021 and major wins for us in the contract sector will provide the icing on our cake for the coming year and beyond. The UK is a key market for Keller and the DKG Group and we look forward to delivering on our considerable plans for growth in 2021 and beyond.
In the last few weeks of 2020, our sales team have been visiting customers throughout the UK to present a wide range of additions to our product portfolio. We are proud and excited in equal measures of the advances we have made; ones that deliver winning options and additional choice for our UK retail and contract partners. In harnessing new technology and increasing capacity following substantial investments, we continue to make, we are launching more new product for 2021 than ever before.
The range expansion includes numerous new fronts, colour choices for carcass interiors, XXL base cabinets with matching line midi and full height units, new trend colours and additional drawer and pan drawer upgrade options – to name but some of the new options.
We have elevated our offer to new heights and feedback from customers has matched the excitement we all felt within the DKG Group whilst the new products were in development over the last twelve months. We have listened to the market needs and added some Dutch differentiation that brings something new to feed the imagination of our exceptional partner base. And, of course, for the fifth year in a row, our entire offer is Carbon Neutral.
Not resting on our laurels, Keller is on the acquisition trail with more purpose than ever before. Ambitious growth plans are in place to consolidate and grow the retailer and contract partner networks with the right kind of commercial relationships. Enquiries from interested parties are always welcome.
As always, Keller Kitchens offers complete versatility for you; finishes comprise veneer, melamine or lacquered; while matt, silk, high gloss and structured lacquers are available in over 1950 NCS colours; and nine stain colours can be applied on veneer or solid wood.
