The new Andermatt Concert Hall, a world-class centre for music which will establish the Swiss Alpine village of Andermatt as an important cultural destination alongside its celebrated sports facilities, will open in June 2019.
The concert hall is designed by Studio Seilern Architects led by Christina Seilern. The London based architects have just completed a performance centre in the UK – the Annenberg Centre at Wellington College.
Andermatt is a mountain village and municipality located in the canton of Uri in Switzerland. A major development by BESIX and the Andermatt Swiss Alps Development is transforming the village into one of the world’s finest year-round destinations. New facilities include a new village square at the heart of which is the new concert hall is located with new hotels, residential and chalet facilities.
