Soprema explores the pathways to change at Futurebuild

Leading waterproofing and insulation business Soprema is pleased to be co-sponsoring the conference programme at Futurebuild 2024, held at ExCel in London from 5th – 7th March.

Embracing an overarching theme of ‘Change’ for the 2024 show, Futurebuild is a key event for the built environment, with a focus on showcasing the innovations, materials and construction practices that will pave the way for a greener, more resilient future. With a solid commitment to building sustainably, these objectives have synergy with Soprema’s business approach, which places eco-friendly solutions at the core of its product offering.

Opening proceedings on the very first day of the conference, Soprema’s Managing Director Laurent Verheyden will take to the stage at 10:30am, to explore the pathways to transformative change within the industry. As his opening remarks will set the tone for the rest of the conference, Laurent will seek to challenge delegates to examine their own perspectives on what is possible.

Later that morning, Laurent will take to the stage again as part of a panel discussion within the ‘Buildings’ seminar programme. Taking place at 11.30am, the session is curated by the sustainable Energy Association (SEA) and will consider a fabric first approach to improving energy performance in homes.

Debby Dawson, Marketing Manager UK & Ireland from Soprema, commented:

“With all roads leading towards net zero, this partnership with Futurebuild is an exciting demonstration of our commitment to supporting positive change within the construction industry. By building for tomorrow, we are planning a portfolio that is totally aligned with the expectations of society and geared towards sustainable systems and low carbon solutions. We’re looking forward to engaging with as many people as possible at the event, both during the conference programme and on our stand.”

In addition to the conference, Soprema will be exhibiting on stand F42, where it will be showcasing products from its wide range of sustainable solutions – all of which have a valuable contribution to make in the drive towards net zero.

For example, Soprema’s Pavatex range of wood fibre insulation products offer a natural and sustainable solution, made from waste wood material collected from sawmills. With solutions for new build and retrofit projects, Pavatex delivers excellent thermal and acoustic performance, coupled with superior breathability.

Also on display will be Soprema’s TECSOUND range of acoustic insulation; plus its XPS insulation, which is 100% recyclable and has been awarded the BRE Green Guide Rating A; and its Cradle-to-Cradle Duo Membranes: DUO HT 4 AGR/F C180 AERO F, which can be used as a single layer waterproofing system on surfaces where fire retardant properties and partial adhesion are required.
