Leading planning and development consultancy Turley has appointed Angela Reeve as its new head of planning for the Midlands and promoted head of sustainability Colin Morrison to senior director.
Angela will lead Turley’s Midlands planning team, which is involved in several high-profile projects in Birmingham city centre. Including major regeneration sites such as Paradise and Port Loop; and Peddimore which is one of the most significant employment development opportunities in the UK.
She takes over the role from Mat Jones who will continue in his capacity as senior director alongside Mike Best, focussing on delivering major project work across the Midlands and on strategic growth across the Midlands and beyond.
Colin will continue to lead the firm’s national sustainability and EIA services, which operate across the UK with a team of expert consultants based in Turley’s Birmingham, Bristol, Leeds, London and Manchester offices.
The promotions come following a period of growth and an increasing demand for trusted advisors in the Midlands market.
Speaking about her promotion, Angela said:
“Our Midlands planning team has a strong reputation for providing expert advice and I’m delighted to be heading this up. I’m very lucky to work with such a talented and ambitious team, and for clients who are delivering high quality regeneration and development across the Midlands. I am looking forward to building on the success we have had under Mat’s leadership, and continuing to provide the best possible service to our clients.”
Commenting on his promotion, Colin said:
“I am thrilled to be joining the senior director team, overseeing our national sustainability and EIA services; which are invaluable for high profile projects across the UK and range from new settlements to nationally significant infrastructure projects. Much of our work is focused on ensuring development is resilient for a future climate and mitigates carbon emissions and I look forward to continuing to adapt and evolve our services to meet client needs.”
