Growth at multi-disciplinary design practice, rg+p continues to increase as a new director is appointed alongside regional and national award recognition.
Grant Giblett, who has been with the practice for seven years, has joined the board of directors in recognition of his success developing the London studio, which is poised to relocate to facilitate expansion. Established in 2012, the London studio initially started with just two architects and Grant has since grown the team to 18, representing specialists in architecture, master planning and urban design.
Grant said,
“We’re working on some really significant schemes across the Boroughs; and are establishing a reputation for thoughtful and innovative design. To continue this positive trajectory, we’ve secured new premises in a prime Central London location, and construction is now underway to transform this space into the open plan environment we require. This means there’s plenty of positive change ahead, both for the team and I, as we commit to extending our breadth of work and portfolio of services.”
Further consolidating this growth, rg+p was included in the prestigious AJ100 list for the second consecutive year, placing 77th and improving its ranking by 12 places. Compiled annually by the industry’s leading magazine, Architect’s Journal, the AJ100 highlights the UK’s most successful and ambitious firms. rg+p was also a finalist for the AJ Employer of the Year award.
Architectural director, James Badley commented,
“The AJ100 is seen as a real benchmark of excellence within the architectural community so we were extremely proud to improve our ranking. Over the past year we’ve spent considerable time and energy evolving our design ethos and methodology to better serve clients and increase collaboration across all our disciplines; all the while remaining mindful of creating a working environment which is inclusive, nurturing and focused on wellbeing. For our professional peers to recognise this commitment on a national level is outstanding.”
Capping off this exceptional period, rg+p was confirmed Architectural Practice of the Year in the Insider Midlands Residential Property Awards with the judging panel commenting,
“rg+p presented a really strong submission which showcased a breadth of scale and a sharp focus on innovation in the company’s impressive portfolio of work.”
Director, Rob Woolston concluded,
“These achievements are truly remarkable and a testament to the hard work of the team in winning new work, consolidating existing client relationships and improving our profile regionally and nationally. We’re confident these awards will stimulate yet further development and with Grant becoming a director, the business has a bright future.”
rg+p’s expertise focuses on the residential, education, commercial, retirement, leisure and mixed-sectors and the practice’s core disciplines include architecture and interior design, place making and urbanism, and project management and cost consultancy.
