An award-winning contemporary Douglas fir extension to a classic Georgian house created a stunning new living space to an impressive home.
WT Architecture had a clear vision of what they wanted for the extension and came to Carpenter Oak to help refine it – as specialists in timber we provided advice on material, connection and finish options.
The extension also helped to reimagine the home’s connection to its landscape and provided the owners with easier access to their restored rear walled garden.
The attention to detail in the building is impressive. There was a focus on the sight lines of the timber structure through the different spaces of the extension, and as seen externally through the extensive glazing.
