Norcros Adhesives has been involved with a complete remodelling of a VW Lookers car showroom on Teesside.
The project took place over five months, throughout which time the dealership was in constant use, and was completed in January this year. The client required the premises to be completely reorientated, so that was the workshop became the showroom, and vice versa.
The remodelling created a number of challenges with regard to levels and the whole floor required scabbling. Norcros Pro 50 Levelling Compound was used and Norcros Rapid Porcelain Grey S1 Tile Adhesive to fix 600mm x 300mm and 200mm x 200mm porcelain tiles. The total tiled area is 3,500sq metres. Norcros 4 into 1 Wall & Floor Tile Grout was used for all grouting, with colour-matched Norcros 4 into 1 Silicone Sealant for perimeter movement joints.
The main contractor was northeast company STP Construction Ltd and the tiling contractor was Tileform Ltd, who have offices in Durham and Glasgow.
Tileform and Norcros Adhesives have collaborated on projects previously, and a good relationship now exists between the two companies.
