These are unprecedented times and the COVID-19 pandemic has seen the Government put a significant and changing range of restrictions on physical business events in the interests of public health. As the restrictions and guidance for the COVID-19 Pandemic continues with concerns for workers welfare and challenges to the practicality of running physical events the National Federation of Builders (NFB) has reviewed its events programme and how the federation will provide events over the next year in a COVID secure and compliant format to ensure clarity for its members and confidence in the events that will be run.
The NFB will continue to hold events in a digital format. For events where it is not practical to hold digitally these will be postponed until at least 1st June 2021, they can go ahead as a physical face to face event.
Richard Beresford, NFB Chief Executive, commented: ‘The aim of the NFB is to hold engaging events that benefit our members, for many events these can take place electronically in the interim. Meeting face to face for certain events will always be the preferred option and these will be introduced back into the NFB’s event programme when it is safe to do so”.
