Newton Waterproofing, the UK’s leading independent designers and suppliers of guaranteed waterproofing systems, has been shortlisted in two prestigious award schemes.
The company’s leading product range and commitment to sustainability secured Newton’s finalist spot at the London Construction Awards, being shortlisted for ‘Supplier of the Year’.
The establishment has been recognised for its wide range of waterproofing products, plus it’s A-rated insurance guarantees, specialist waterproofing design service, and its extensive training on the new 2022 British Standard for Waterproofing, keeping customers up to date with best practice.
Newton has also been shortlisted for the ‘Green/Sustainability’ Award at the National Building and Construction Awards, in recognition of its unique Recycling Service.
In 2017, the Tonbridge-based company launched the Newton Recycling Service, which at the time was the first closed-loop recycling scheme in UK waterproofing. The service is run in collaboration with its Newton Specialist Contractors (NSBCs), collecting off-cuts of HDPE waterproofing membrane, as well as the plastic tubs and metal containers that hold its liquid products from across the UK, for recycling and re-use in the construction industry.
According to Newton’s fifth annual Sustainability Report, the company saw 2.608 tonnes of membrane recycled in 2021, avoiding the production of 2.99 tonnes of carbon dioxide, and taking the grand total to 20.62 tonnes of recycling up to the end of 2021.

Winners of the London Construction Awards will be announced on the 23rd of September at the Leonardo Royal London Tower Bridge Hotel, while winners of the National Building and Construction Awards will be announced on the 17th of November at the Hilton London Wembley.
