A new director-in charge has been appointed by a national housebuilder to lead its North London region
Karl Endersby has been appointed to head up Persimmon Homes North London which has its headquarters in Maidenhead. The region covers Berkshire, Greater London, Middlesex and Oxfordshire.
Its developments include St Andrew’s Park, in Uxbridge, Sycamore Rise, in Thame, Harrow View West, in Harrow, and Kennet Gardens, in Thatcham.
Karl, 46, is no stranger to the company as he has moved across from Persimmon’s South Coast region where he was the technical director.
At the start of his career, Karl joined a civil engineering consultancy as a trainee, studying for a degree at Kingston University on day release, which he finished while working for a highways and transport consultant.
He enjoyed 10 years in consultancy before joining Charles Church, a sister company of Persimmon Homes, in 1998 as an engineer with the then Southern Office, before being promoted to chief engineer during his first year.
Karl then moved from the technical team to special projects, working on large scale, complex developments for Persimmon Homes, gaining invaluable experience. He then went back to Southern as principal technical manager before being promoted to technical director around 2008. He took up the same role with the South Coast region in 2014.
He enjoyed that role for five years before being promoted to director-in-charge for North London. He said:
“I very much appreciate that I have been allowed to grow in the business with the support of senior management who have always been very encouraging in terms of progression.
“It is a new challenge for me and an opportunity to develop the region, working with the team that’s here. I know that we will support each other as we are looking to grow the business with new developments in the pipeline next year.”
