Marmox has organised two online presentations outlining the use of its recently launched Fireboard insulation.
Marmox’s A1 rated Fireboard has been developed to tackle fire hazards as well as to provide thermal and acoustic insulation in a variety of situations, all in one lightweight, easy-to-handle board.
Led by Mark Bowman, Marmox’s Technical Manager, the two presentations will explain Marmox Fireboard’s technical benefits and discuss the properties needed to comply with fire regulation and best practice.
The first presentation – entitled Floors, Walls & Ceilings – is to be held on Wednesday 28th February at 11.30, where Mark will lead participants through the subtle differences in insulation for each element and explain how Marmox Fireboard functions as an effective solution for acoustic insulation. Then on Wednesday 7th March, again at 11.30, Mark explores The Building Envelope, highlighting the best ways of incorporating external and internal wall insulation, in both new-build and retrofit situations.
Marmox Fireboard can be installed across timber and steel frame constructions or direct onto masonry. Available in thicknesses of 20mm, 50mm and 100mm, Fireboards are rigid enough to be fitted directly onto timber batons, while being easy to cut with a hand saw.
Marmox Marketing Manager, Grant Terry, comments:
“We have already had a lot of interest from the market in Fireboard, which utilises stone-wool for its core and the same waterproof honeycomb facing as Multiboard and hope that these presentations will help reach a wider audience. A key message is that when specifying any sort of insulation, it should be able absorb sound as well as offer fire protection and our new Fireboard successfully does both.”
