Königstone (www.konigstone.co.uk) is the go-to brand for fantastic worktop surfaces in quartz, granite, marble and semi-precious materials.
The team rightly prides itself on great, successful relationships with customers and the resultant projects are testament to these.
One such customer is Lima (www.limakitchens.co.uk) and Joanne Bull of Königstone and Elizabeth Pantling-Jones of LIMA Kitchens had a conversation to understand exactly how they work together.
Can you summarise the character of Lima Kitchens and a typical customer?
We work to be an inviting and exciting company. We aim to display items that are not seen elsewhere and challenge preconceived ideas to ensure that the correct outcomes are reached for each and every client. We have an intimate and homely showroom which helps people relax and enjoy the time they spend there with us. Our team within the showroom, fitting teams and suppliers are more like a family than colleagues.
Our clients are no different. To us, when clients visit us, we are inviting them in to our home and wider family. Our aim is to provide and personable service with excellent products and services with superb value for money.
We have very broad demographic. Our clients range from young couples and families, to families with children at university having lived in their homes for many years, and retired couples. A common factor across our clients is their high expectations and attention to detail, with many of them working in fields such as engineering, accountancy, medicine or owning their own businesses.
Many of our clients have either been recommended to us or longstanding followers on social media and expect us to push the boundaries of design, ergonomics and budgets. Coming up with ideas and solutions to maximise their investment.
. How long have you been supplying Königstone worktops?
Over eight years.
How do your customers react to the Königstone product portfolio? Are there any real favourites?
The new additions have been fantastic in terms of strengthening the offering. Over the years, we have seen three favourite colours. For many years, this has been Cotton Star but began to give way a little to Ontario as marble effect worktop grew in popularity. Today, our best-selling Königstone surface is Bianco Toscana.
How would you describe your experience of working with Königstone? What do you like about the materials? Why did you decide to supply their products?
We have had problems with other brands – who hasn’t? However, as soon as we started quoting and supplying Königstone, we saw the value and never looked back.
Are Königstone surfaces easy to work with? How do you find they perform?
It is great to have a jumbo slab offering which helps us compete with other market leaders.
