Jones Weatherproofing: New year, new name, new look, same family values

Specialist weatherproofing contractor, Jones and Woolman UK Ltd (J&W) has rebranded as Jones Weatherproofing to better reflect the type of projects they work on and cement their position as a leader in the commercial weatherproofing space.

Over the past 45 years, Jones Weatherproofing has built itself a reputation as a company that’s trustworthy, friendly, approachable, professional and committed to providing excellence in our standards of workmanship and the level of customer service.

Matt Jones commercial director commented: “Rebranding as Jones Weatherproofing is a natural evolution for us. It puts what we do front and centre, presents a consistent identity to our existing customers and helps to make us instantly recognisable to potential new customers in the UK and around the world.”

“Of course, behind the new name and the new look, we’re the same, family-run business. This means that our teams will continue to provide the same high levels of service, expert craftsmanship and innovation we are known for – all of which will ensure continuity for our customers.”

Ten years ago, the bespoke design, manufacture and installation of vertical penetrations on commercial buildings made up just 10% of the company’s project profile. Changes in how businesses use technology led the company to specialise in this niche sector and today, it equates to more than 75% of Jones Weatherproofing’s work.

“This led us to specialise in this area,” added Matt, “and as a result, we have been invited to work on bigger and more complex projects worldwide.”

As well as changing its name, Jones Weatherproofing has also unveiled a fresh new look for its website, brochures, vans, uniforms and marketing materials.

The company was founded in 1979 by Sid Jones, his business partner and two sons, Darren and Steve. As well as weatherproofing vertical and roof penetrations, its services include commercial weatherproofing for new builds, retrofit projects, refurbishing existing systems and repairing damaged roofs.

Jones Weatherproofing works in partnership with architects and M&E consulting engineers to ensure weatherproofing penetrations are considered at the design stage. As the project progresses it then works with main and sub-contractors to take responsibility for the weatherproofing, energy efficiency, and aesthetics of all penetrations including last minute positional changes.

It has completed contracts for commercial clients across the UK, Ireland, the EU and beyond. The company’s projects range from large-scale developments such as data centres, retail centres, warehouses, factories, hospitals and sports stadia through to retail units, schools and offices.

Today, Jones Weatherproofing’s clients include many of the UK’s leading building contractors, roofing and cladding specialists, engineering firms and M&E contractors.
