Leading entrance and smart access solutions provider dormakaba is inviting specifiers, installers, building owners and users to join its free RIBA Accredited CPD webinar Requirements for Door Hardware on Fire Doors: Meeting Fire and Access Requirements this Fire Door Safety Week.
Fire Door Safety Week 2020, which is running from 21st – 27th September 2020, aims to raise awareness of the importance of fire doors in protecting life and property – including ensuring the correct specification and installation for each individual building.
In support of this, dormakaba is hosting its free, RIBA Accredited CPD webinar Accredited Requirements for Door Hardware on Fire Doors: Meeting Fire and Access Requirements. During the hour long session, dormakaba will cover the requirements for fire doors in relation to the latest accessibility and fire safety regulations and will provide examples of solutions that can meet these demands. dormakaba will also outline the door controls available and how to select the most suitable product for different applications. Attendees will receive a RIBA accredited, Continuous Professional Development (CPD) certificate on the day.
Graham Hulland, Product Marketing Manager at dormakaba said:
“In the event of a fire, a fire door can delay the spread of the fire and smoke, thereby protecting lives and property by allowing time for those inside to evacuate and the fire services to enter the building. Our CPD webinar aims to raise awareness on the importance of correctly specifying, installing and maintaining fire doors and provides practical guidance.”
