A leading housebuilder has revealed a £25million plan to build much-needed new homes in Cheddington after successfully finalising a land deal.
Charles Church Midlands says it wants to build 100 new homes at the 12-acre site located at Mentmore Road, a short walk from the mainline station giving direct access to Euston Station.
The proposed development will transform the existing greenfield site and provide 35 affordable homes to help meet the local housing needs of the village.
This substantial investment includes in excess of £1.3million towards community infrastructure improvements, including contributions towards local educational, sports and leisure services.
Bryan O’Mahoney, land director for Charles Church Midlands, said:
“This is an exciting development for the region, providing much-needed new homes in this very sought-after sustainable village with great transport links to London and surrounding employment centres.
“Our plans include homes to suit a range of buyers, from those looking to get on the property ladder for the first time to families seeking more space as they grow.”
Charles Church purchased the land with outline planning permission in January 2019 and aims to start work on site in the spring.
