Rowland Cottage in Lincolnshire is a four bedroom period property that started life as a set of three farmers’ cottages, a smithy and a joinery workshop. It has been extensively renovated and reformed to provide a luxury characterful home.
Being in a conservation area, the planning officers specified that the original aesthetic of the building is retained and sympathetically restored. Therefore, timber windows were the natural choice and a range of A rated flush casement high security windows and a French door set were manufactured by George Barnsdale. All products were painted in RAL 7032 to match British Conservation Green and furnished with black pear drop handles on the windows and black Avon handles to the doors.
Commenting Scott Allan from Tannhauser,
“The intention was always to use timber to provide a focal point and avoid uPVC. The quality of the products and attention to detail including after care service have far exceeded our previous supplier. We have had consistently good feedback from the point of installation from everyone visiting site and from the local residents on the look of the building and specifically the windows.”
