Hot on the heels of launching developments in Middleton and Lowton, Elan Homes has a third Greater Manchester site coming soon.
The homebuilder, with its headquarters in Cheshire, is gearing up to launch Holcombe Gardens in Ramsbottom.
Situated on Bury New Road, the site will feature 35 homes in a mix of three, four and five-bedroom homes.
Marie Morris, sales director for Elan Homes in the North, said:
“We launched two housing developments in Greater Manchester over the summer – St Catherine’s Gardens in Lowton and Millfields in Middleton – with homes at both locations selling fast. There’s a strong demand for new homes across the region and in response we’re preparing to launch Holcombe Gardens off plan.”
“Dozens of people have already enquired about the homes and we anticipate it will be a popular choice, particularly for those in search of extra space. When we open the sales office it will be by appointment only, with social distancing measures in place. With that in mind, we’ll be giving those who’ve registered their interest priority when we launch.”
Elan acquired the site with outline planning consent from Ecclestone Homes.
Previously, in 2016, Bury Council granted the Florence Nuttall Trust outline planning permission to build 50 homes on the site.
Elan will deliver 35 new homes, including nine affordable three-bedroom homes which will be sold at 75% of the market value, subject to eligibility criteria.
Marie added,
“The design of the homes will be sympathetic to the character of existing properties in the wider neighbourhood and will include rough cast render finishes and Tudor style boarding.”
“The site itself has in part dictated the design of the homes at Holcombe Gardens. We’ll be building two-storey homes plus some split level properties that will be three-storey at the front and two at the back. Incorporating the split level design will accentuate the views homeowners can enjoy across the valley to Holcombe Hill and Peel Tower.”
Accessed via Bury New Road, the homes will be situated in a cul-de-sac with a simple turning space. The estate road will remain private and along with an area of open space including species rich grassland, this will be maintained by a management company.
A landscaping scheme has been designed to complement the existing environment including detailed measures to promote nature conservation, protecting and enhancing the aesthetics and ecology of the site. The main body of existing trees to the periphery of the site will be retained.
The first homes at Holcombe Gardens will soon be available to reserve “off plan”. Potential purchasers can register their interest via the website www.elan-homes.co.uk/developments/holcombe-gardens.
