Designer Contract’s new window of opportunity

Designer Contracts, one of the UK’s leading furnishing suppliers to housebuilders, has launched a completely new anthology of plain and patterned curtain collections. It is also introducing an updated blind studio range.

The new ‘window of opportunity’ comes as more and more developers introduce window and flooring incentives to ‘seal the deal’ for increasingly hesitant buyers in a more challenging market.

The company’s industry leading ‘order to installation’ service encompasses a wide choice of blinds and curtains, with most made at Designer Contract’s own in-house curtain and blinds workrooms.

The new Plain Collection is made up of two fabric ranges, Spectrum and Prism, both available with an FR lining for a fully fire-retardant solution. Prism is a flame retardant plain with a subtle linen texture while Spectrum is a soft flowing versatile plain satin. Both ranges are available in a multitude of colour options to suit all schemes.

The new Fabric Studio range offers a total of 40 patterned choices – from elegant traditional patterns to stylish contemporary prints.

Completing the window dressing options is the Blind Studio collection that offers a range of window blind choices.

All Designer Contract’s curtains are fully lined with blackout linings also available. They can be made with a choice of eyelet, pinch pleat, pencil pleat and wave headers with co-ordinating roman blinds, bed runners and cushions available.

Said commercial director Louise Walters:

“We have completely refreshed and updated our entire window dressing collection with a comprehensive range to suit all tastes and budgets.

“Over the years we’ve worked hard to make the housebuilder’s job of selling blinds and curtains to house buyers a simple process. We supply blinds and curtain information packs that help guide sales staff through the process of dealing with homebuyers. It provides a popular incentive package for developers to offer when, as now, the housing market becomes a little tougher.

“With prices a fraction of the cost of typical custom-made curtains we believe our service takes away all the hassle from the sourcing and selling curtains and blinds.”

Designer Contracts operates nationally through its network of regional offices. As well as blinds and curtains, the company is the UK’s largest flooring contractor, provides furniture and lighting packs and operates a show home interior design service division.
