Corksol’s SprayCork coating has recently been used to completed a residential project in Norfolk, which has seen the sustainable coating work its magic on repairing a damaged rendered façade.
Luke Field of Wall Coating Solutions specified the product to help repair the home back to its former glory. Covering a total of 200m2 of existing failed sand and cement render, the house was in need of a makeover, with parts of the render starting to crack and fall away and other areas looking drained of colour due to weathering.
A 2mm SprayCork coating in the extra white Snow colour was used to cover over the existing problems which included paint delamination, cracking and water ingress which can all lead to potential issues with internal damp. The overspray and some CorkFill for severe cracks eradicates the imperfections with a robust layer of new render, while also helping to improve the overall energy efficiency of the house. SprayCork is one of the leading insulating renders available, made using natural, sustainably sourced cork as the main raw material.
Joff Ward, director of Corksol UK comments:
“It’s great to see applicators are using our products to help repair damaged and worn rendered facades. SprayCork can be used on large scale retrofits and restorations like this, but it can also be used to patch repair smaller problem areas which keep costs down without compromising on the finish. This property has had a new lease of life. Just by adding the new layer of SprayCork, the whole house looks more contemporary and well-maintained.”
“We hope as we continue to grow, that our network of local applicators grows too as they gain confidence in specifying and applying our products.”
