Book Newton’s RIBA CPD on the New 2022 British Standard for Waterproofing

On March 31st, 2022, the new British Standard for waterproofing was released, providing everyone with access to the updated version of the Standard,
BS 8102:2022.

The newly titled Standard is the Code of Practice for the “Protection of Below Ground Structures Against Water Ingress” and includes a wide number of revisions and updates to the previous 2009 version.

In order to help with educating construction professionals on the most important updates to the 2022 version of the Standard, Newton Waterproofing, the UK’s leading designers and suppliers of guaranteed waterproofing systems, has already created a new, RIBA approved, double points, core curriculum CPD on “Waterproofing Design Strategies to the New British Standard 8102:2022”.

Newton Waterproofing Managing Director Warren Muschialli comments:

“The new seminar directly replaces Newton’s previous RIBA approved CPD on “Structural Waterproofing Design Strategies to BS 8102:2009” which was our most popular CPD with architects, surveyors, designers and contractors alike.

“The CPD consists of a 45-minute seminar plus a Q&A, which can be delivered either at your office, as an online webinar, or at our training facility in Tonbridge, Kent.”

As well as an explanation of the updates to the new 2022 version of the British Standard, the presentation provides an overview of the modern methods available for protecting below ground structures from water, including:

  • The different forms of structural waterproofing systems in the market and how to achieve the environmental grades outlined within BS 8102:2022
  • A focus on how combination waterproofing systems are specified in below-ground structures in order to achieve the desired environment

The updated 2022 CPD is available for specifiers now – To book any of Newton’s RIBA approved seminars, email training(Replace this parenthesis with the @ sign)newtonwaterproofing.co.uk.
