Waterproofing Below Ground Structures to BS 8102:2009
Our RIBA-approved Double Point CPD ‘Waterproofing Below Ground Structures to BS 8102:2009’ seminar considers the various challenges faced in structural waterproofing and how to overcome them with the guidance of current Standard, BS8102:2009 (Code of Practice for Protection of Below Ground Structures against Water from the Ground). Topics include Waterproofing options (the forms or types of waterproofing and their placement), correct selection of materials formulated for various applications, understanding the importance of using a waterproofing design specialist, and focuses particularly on reducing risk.
Designing for Flood Resilience, Resistance and Recoverability
Our CIWEM and RIBA-approved Double Point CPD ‘Flood Resilience’ seminar aims to explore Flood Resilience, Resistance and Recoverability and the use of technologies which have been used historically in below ground structural waterproofing in a variety of different situations from domestic to commercial structures. With guidance of current Standard, BS85500:2015 (Flood Resistant and Resilient Construction: Guide to improving the flood performance of a building), the seminar will provide designers with a deeper understanding of the concepts in identifying flood resilience and resistance design and the use of suitable materials and construction techniques.
Reducing Risk in Type C Systems Using Predictive Maintenance
Our RIBA-approved CPD ‘Reducing Risk in Type C Systems Using Predictive Maintenance’ seminar aims to provide Architects and Designers with a deeper understanding on the concepts of utilizing predictive maintenance and reducing risk within the Type C Waterproofing Systems. The focus of this seminar is the specification, technical design and installation of Type C Structural Waterproofing Systems with important insights on drainage systems, key principles of big data analytics and an understanding of predictive maintenance and its benefits in reducing risk.
