Unilin Panels welcomed over 1,200 visitors during Clerkenwell Design Week at The Gallery Clerkenwell as it asked the question, what makes a happy place?
For Clerkenwell Design Week, Unilin Panels put on a programme of workshop and events focused on what it takes to create happy interior experiences for people. Over three-days of hands-on classes, discussions and happiness inducing experiences at The Gallery Clerkenwell, the district’s A&D community explored the idea of being happy and learnt about the Belgian manufacturer’s award-winning decorative panels and HPL surfaces.
With an architectural sketching masterclass from renowned illustrator Phillip Buckingham, essential oil room spray creations with London Refinery, the Miracle Tree, tasty streetside tacos and a closing party; Unilin Panels gave every visitor a little piece of happiness to take away with them. It also took the time to ask a panel of author and designer Naomi Cleaver, Luke Pearson of studio Pearson Lloyd, Cheré Falconer of Quarterback and Colin Macgadie of Hubl; whether it’s possible to create spaces that foster happiness across generations.
Charlotte Van Vlierberghe, brand manager, Unilin Panels, says:
“Being able to connect with the community throughout Clerkenwell Design Week is a joy for us and our theme for this year hopefully spread happiness far and wide. Creating better interior experiences for people is fundamental to what we do here at Unilin Panels and is forefront of our mind when developing new surfaces. We wanted to reflect that with a programme that was engaging, inspiring, informing and most importantly, fun. With ‘sold-out’ events and a really uplifting and positive atmosphere at The Gallery Clerkenwell throughout this year’s CDW, we hope everyone came away with a little piece of their own happiness, whatever that looked like.”
Manufacturer of the award-winning Master Oak decorative HPL, Unilin Panels used Clerkenwell Design Week to share its innovative surfaces and pioneering approach to recycling and sustainability through the use of 100% recovered wood. This philosophy sees more than 900,000 tonnes of recycled wood processed every year and Unilin chipboard panels made with 95% recycled wood.
