Going beyond the usual height, width, and colour options, The Radiator Company, one of the largest suppliers of designer radiators in the UK and Ireland, has launched the new Piano heated towel rail. Its dual-fuel capability and the opportunity to specify a double layer for added warmth in tight spaces makes the Piano a highly customisable heating solution.
For bathroom, kitchen and cloakroom projects including those that are short on space, the Piano towel rail features a flat 50mm x 10mm steel tube design to create a sleek look. Style, however, is only one of the benefits this versatile product offers designers, as The Radiator Company’s National Sales Manager, Richard Lister explains: “Some spaces can be a real challenge to get right, especially where space is at a premium. With its multiple options, the Piano has been created to allow designers to balance aesthetics and functionality, comfort and convenience. Also giving end users a flexible and cost-effective way to control how they heat the room.”
Dual-fuel and space-saving flexibility
Suitable for dual fuel applications, the Piano towel rail provides clients with heat choice all year round. In the winter months, the towel rail runs off the central heating and on unexpected chilly summer days, switch to electric.
If space is tight, Piano can be specified as a single or double-layered towel rail depending on the target heating capacity, with output ranging from 1286 to 5386 (BTUs at Δt 50ºc).
So, for smaller spaces that require a lower heat output, a cost-effective and space-saving single solution may meet the heating requirement perfectly adequately. Alternatively, if a room requires a greater heat output but space doesn’t allow, a double configuration may suit – taking up less valuable wall space.
Endless size, colour and finish choice
From a design layout perspective, there is plenty of choice too. As well as the single and double configurations, four heights are available ranging from 792mm to 1744mm with five widths from 456mm to 756mm, affording interior designers real flexibility.
Additional individual style and design flair can be added through colour and finish with 188 RAL colours, with White RAL 9016 as standard. What’s more, there are 31 special finishes to choose from, including a variety of sparkling and metallic effects, some with a light surface texture. There is a soft leatherette style for a textured finish and a mottled finish, created by a combination of two contrasting colours for an aged or hammered effect. To emphasise depth of colour, the matt finish provides a rich, tactile look.
With a 10-year guarantee, the Piano towel rail is CE/UKCA approved and certified to BS EN442.
The Radiator Company is the design-led manufacturing brand of the IRSAP Group. It offers special finishes, colour, different sizes and formats of radiator, making it the UK’s largest selection – with thousands of combinations to create the perfect radiator.
