Chorus and Matrix tile collections from Parkside Architectural Tiles and Strata Technical Tiles are now ready for BIM and CAD modelling software with the launch of BIM Objects across both collections.
BIM modelling tools are relied on in a growing number of practices to deliver interior and architecture designs that provide analysis, generative design, visualisation and simulation. Now architecture, design and build and interior design practices using software packages such as Autodesk® Revit and ArchiCAD can take advantage of the design flexibility of Chorus and Matrix collections from Parkside and Strata.
The collections are focused on providing projects with a wide choice of options – Chorus in 35 colours with coordinated structured and technical pieces and Matrix in 23 colours with matching grouts and trims – so can be used by designers to add vibrancy and the durability and low maintenance of tile surfaces into their models.
James Saunders, specification consultant and BIM champion for Parkside and Strata Tiles, says: “BIM modelling tools are now commonplace in practices and so we have kick started a programme to rapidly develop BIM Objects for our core products. Chorus and Matrix are our first tile ranges to enter this programme. The depth and versatility of these ranges ensure they are suitable for a wide range of projects, giving designers the chance to welcome tile surfaces from Parkside and Strata Tiles into their BIM models.”
Covering all options across Chorus and Matrix including multiple sizes and finishes, the BIM Objects are available through NBS Source and NBL object libraries. Further tile collections will be joining the BIM Objects programme throughout the course of the year.
