The resurgence of the country homes market is gaining momentum in 2015, with independent estate agent Beresfords reporting an increase in demand with a 300% rise in the number of accepted offers.
Rising buyer registrations has led Beresfords to expand its Country Homes team through its existing branch network, with specialist advisers now operating in its Great Dunmow and Colchester offices. Ruth Doyle is covering West Essex, has over 12 years of experience and a strong background within the country homes market. Alison Taylor is covering the North Essex region with over 20 years of local experience within the property market.
Paul Beresford, Managing Director at Beresfords, comments:
“Country Homes is a unique part of our business which has been extremely successful and given the recent growth in demand, we feel the time is right to expand. Our extensive regional branch network, as well as our London office, means we are perfectly placed to cater for this growing market.”
James Caffrey, Manager of Country Homes, comments:
“These buyers, predominantly buying closer to London, are looking to find their own slice of the ‘Good Life’ and are attracted by Essex’s unparalleled commuter links, outstanding schools and excellent value for money. By utilising our existing local knowledge and applying specialist training we are already seeing the number of instructions increase across these locations.”
Beresfords has grown substantially over the last few years, and now has 15 branches in city, town and village locations making it one of the largest independent estate agents in the UK. The leading agent also agreed sales and lets in 2014 for over 4,250 properties ranging from studio apartments to country homes, a 23% annual increase, and which represents over £893million worth of property in 2014, up 15%.
