Underpinning flying gable end projects with brick slip cladding

Building contractors now have the ideal solution to reduce weight loading on flying gable timber frame projects, thanks to leading brick slip cladding specialist Eurobrick.

The lightweight and easy-to-install alternative to traditional brickwork provides a seamless finish to intersecting rooflines, eliminating the cost of complex engineering detail.

Eurobrick’s X-Clad system has been specified to help house builders in such circumstances for over 25 years. Managing director of Eurobrick, John Mayes, explained:

“The slim line profile of our X-Clad system makes it the perfect choice for gable end projects. The backer panel is easy to handle and cut to shape, as well as being lightweight enough to avoid overloading timber structures.”

“Coming in a variety of colours and textures, our brick slips give assurance to building contractors that the aesthetic integrity of their project will be kept in tact, as well as having a life span of up to 25 years if properly maintained.”

Eurobrick has two brick slip ranges; Britannia and Classic, both of which can be supported by the company’s very own specially formulated pointing mortar, Europoint.

Its X-Clad system, used extensively on new build projects, is a tried and tested product with third party certification from the British Board of Agrément (BBA). It has a system weight starting at 36kg and is just 33mm thick.
