Planning consultancy Turley Associates, acting on behalf of Redrow Homes, has secured outline planning permission for 120 new homes in Gloucestershire.
Permission was granted at Appeal in May for the scheme at Winchcombe within Tewkesbury Borough, Gloucestershire, comprising a mix of two, three and four bed family homes, as well as 35% affordable housing.
Peter Stacey Turley Associates’ Head of Residential Sector, who presented planning evidence at the appeal Inquiry, said:
“This is a good decision for Redrow Homes and for those looking for quality new homes in Gloucestershire. Tewkesbury Borough Council’s housing land supply shortfall is severe and has not been helped at all by slow progress with the Joint Core Strategy. This decision is welcomed, to help address the chronic shortage of homes.”
Lee Hawker, Land Director, Redrow Homes, said:
“We are pleased with the inspector’s decision and now look forward to working with officers at Tewkesbury Borough Council to quickly determine our reserved matters planning application.”
Redrow Homes expect to start work on the scheme in 2014 following the approval of detailed designs.
