Spiral UK starts work on prestigious project to create stairs for London apartments

Successful Cornish Staircase Manufacturer Spiral UK have started production on bespoke stairs for a prestigious residential project in Kings Cross, London.

The company that designs, manufactures and installs high end bespoke staircases has been contracted by McLaren Construction to work on a range of different staircase designs for installation in apartments known as Luma, Kings Cross.

Designed by architects Squire & Partners with interiors by Conran & Partners. The development is part of the King’s Cross masterplan, transforming the area into London’s new creative quarter. The 61 apartments are situated between Lewis Cubitt Park and Jellicoe Gardens and have a price range of £1,325,000 – £2,450,000.

Spiral UK are supplying staircases to the penthouse levels of the development as well as structural steelwork, balustrade and a glass bridge to other parts of the project. The work, which is worth over half a million to the business, includes three beautiful feature staircases. Two in the popular cantilever or floating staircase design and a third is an usual double flight straight to helical style with treads clad in timber.
