Astro’s new Fuse reading light performs its task effectively, while making a subtle statement within an overall interior design concept.
The discreet cylinder which houses the LED is usable right or left handed. It can be orientated in the desired direction in a smooth, gently-resistant operation, thanks to a neat, virtually invisible component. Fuse can be mounted horizontally or vertically in masonry and stud walls or a bedhead.
Astro’s design director James Bassant said:
“The understated appearance and smooth operation of Fuse will add an appreciable sense of quality to an interior. It’s definitely a ‘less is more’ type of product, which is consistent with our design ethos.”
Fuse comes in bronze, polished chrome, white and brushed anodised aluminium. It can be supplied switched or unswitched and the 3W LED ensures efficient operation.
Astro received a Queen’s Award for Enterprise in International Trade in July this year. The company was established in 1997 by Managing Director John Fearon and Design Director James Bassant, and its substantial year-on-year growth is testament to close attention to detail in both design and service.
