Robertson Group drives growth in buoyant Aberdeen market

Three new projects from Robertson Group are taking shape at the new Balmoral Business Park in Aberdeen. Work is now underway at the new Nissan and MINI showrooms which are being developed for the John Clark Motor Group, while construction of a new speculative build office development is well advanced. The combined value of the projects is more than £9 million.

The new Nissan dealership, designed to be a flagship European dealership for Nissan, will extend to 15,074 square feet and is designed from the outset to cater for electric vehicles, with a specialist service bay and Nissan Leaf recharging points. Meanwhile the 8,070-square-feet MINI dealership will have a 12-car showroom, plus a separate enclosed hand-over bay and four workshop bays. The deal to build the car showrooms is worth £3.5m. In a separate project work to complete the £5.8m speculative office development is progressing well with work due to complete in September 2014.

Keith Taylor, Regional Managing Director at Robertson said:

“2014 looks to be an extremely productive year for the Aberdeen market and Robertson already has a number of projects underway.

“We’re currently working on three projects simultaneously including a speculative office development. Meanwhile work on the car show rooms is expected to end in June and given a strong start we expect all the developments to be completed on time.

“The site developers, Balmoral Group, have a vision to create a first class business park in this excellent location, which we are confident will soon become a reality.”

John Clark, Chairman and Managing Director of the John Clark Motor Group, said:

“We are looking forward to housing our Aberdeen dealerships for MINI and Nissan at the Balmoral Business Park. Our investment in the new dealerships not only underlines our commitment to Aberdeen but also represents our ongoing emphasis on providing our customers with the best possible experience and highest levels of customer service at all times.”
