Hartford residents new and old are being invited to a fabulously festive event in aid of a Northwich children’s cancer charity.
The ‘Happy Hartford Christmas’ event will be held on the village green next to Redrow’s Hartford Grange development on December 17 from 6pm to 8pm. Visitors will have the chance to meet Father Christmas, indulge in some merry treats such as hot chocolate and mince pies and listen to Christmas music courtesy of the Northwich Pop Choir and professional brass band, The Deva Band.
The whole event will be opened by the Mayor of Northwich and the local Hartford police community support officers will be there to meet residents.
Additionally, visitors are being encouraged to bring a gift or donation for the children and families who are supported by local charity The Joshua Tree as part of its Christmas appeal.
Those looking for something special to happen in 2016 can also add their thoughts to the Christmas Wish tree for £1, with all the proceeds going to the charity. If possible, Redrow has said that it may even be able to make one wish come true.
Jason Newton, sales director for Redrow Homes (NW) said:
“We’re really looking forward to treating the Hartford residents to some free Christmas fun on December 17. The community in this part of Cheshire is extremely vibrant and we think families will really enjoy what we have planned for them and will help get everyone in the Christmas spirit.
“We’ve got a strong relationship with The Joshua Tree as they were one of the charities Redrow supported last year as part of our 40th anniversary celebrations. We’ll be donating some gifts to their cause and inviting those who come along on the night to do the same.”
Sara Wheater, events and PR manager at The Joshua Tree, added: “We were thrilled to be approached by Redrow and be involved in this event which will be great for the community as well as our charity as it fits in perfectly with our 2015 Christmas Toy Appeal.
“Craft supplies, small Lego kits, dressing up outfits, hospital play sets and Play Doh are among the gifts that will enable us to deliver play therapy sessions and help to ensure a happier Christmas for local families who have been affected by childhood cancer.”
The Happy Hartford Christmas event will take place on Thursday, December 17 from 6pm until 8pm on the village green next to the development on Walnut Lane. For more information about the Redrow homes available in Hartford go to www.redrow.co.uk/hartford.
