Printeriors, a new event showcasing the potential of print for interior decoration will take place at Koelnmesse, Cologne, Germany from 18-22 May 2015.
Printeriors will highlight the creative possibilities when using print to realise interior design concepts for retail, residential, corporate and hospitality settings.
Printeriors will offer interior designers and architects a visual and tactile experience, through a series of room sets to represent different commercial and domestic interior environments. The room sets will feature the full spectrum of printed interior elements from walls, floor coverings, ceramics, textiles and decorative surfaces to furniture and accessories. The emphasis will be on creativity and innovation, over technology or process.
On Thursday 21 May, Printeriors will also present a focussed one-day conference, led by European designers, covering interior applications, materials, techniques, trends and case studies.
The Printeriors showcase will illustrate print’s creative potential while the conference sessions will give designers the chance to hear from industry colleagues who are actively using print in response to client briefs.
Roz McGuinness, the Event Director for Printeriors, commented:
“Interior designers need the tools and techniques at their disposal to bring creative ideas to life within the client budget, and to ever-tightening project timescales. What’s more, the appetite for personalisation is increasing, giving designers the challenge of creating bespoke interiors at an affordable cost, whether for private or commercial clients. Print is rising to this challenge with new technologies, materials and inks that enable interior designers to achieve stunning effects that can individualise spaces and replicate the look and feel of traditional decorating techniques and luxe materials.”
Printeriors is free to attend and is organised by speciality print exhibition organiser FESPA. The new event will coincide with FESPA 2015, an exhibition which looks at applications for screen and digital print, including graphics, point of sale materials, signage, decorative print and functional items such as printed electronics. A single visitor ticket provides access to Printeriors, FESPA 2015, FESPA Fabric and European Sign Expo.
