Printeriors Conference 2016 sessions announced

A packed programme of sessions at the one-day Printeriors Conference offers interior designers to tap into expert knowledge at the Amtrium in the Amsterdam RAI Exhibition Centre on Thursday 10th March 2016.

An international line-up of experts will take to the stage, from designers to print specialists, with discussions focused around four key themes:

  • Standing out from the crowd
  • How to be more cost effective
  • Building your brand – establishing yourself as an interior designer
  • Sustainability

Presented in English, delegates will be able to benefit first-hand from the experience of speakers to gain insights into the growth and creative development of printing for interior decoration.

Sessions will cover topics including Printed furniture where Matt and Laura Etkin-Budge of Kitschiku will discuss the inspiration behind their pattern and furniture ideas, and how they have been received by the design market.

In Designing for Interior Workspaces, John Sulzmann of Artworks Solutions will present a series of interior work space case studies and illustrate how his business has evolved to support architects and designers.

Gemma Riberti of Homebuildlife magazine will look at Print and Pattern Direction for Spring/Summer 16, which illustrates how the forecasted macro trends will trickle down into print inspiration and pattern designs across the many interiors product categories, including textiles, furniture, walls, floors and decorative accessories.

Thijs Sepers and Vincent Post of TS Visuals will take a look at One step beyond printing, discussing how, as specialist large format printers on to hard substrates, they have found solutions for applications on metal panels, glass, steel, wood and many other substrates, bringing the ideas of photographers, artists, interior designers and architects to life.

Printeriors director, Roz McGuinness, said:

“The conference will provide an unmissable opportunity for the design community to gain exclusive insight into the latest innovations within this growing market and help them with their creative vision.

“We want to facilitate the coming together of the design and the print communities to understand just what is possible with print and how that can benefit the interior space.

“Modern digital print technology offers so many opportunities to create stunning designs, direct to substrate, achieving a variety of realistic effects very cost effectively.

“As yet the design community hasn’t fully embraced its full potential. We hope to change that via our conference and Print Hotel showcase.”

The Printeriors conference runs alongside The Print Hotel showcase featuring decorated walls, floors, glazed and mirrored surfaces, fixtures, furniture, carpets, textiles and accessories, all produced using the latest decorative printing techniques.

Printeriors is co-located with speciality print event FESPA Digital 2016 and European Sign Expo for non-printed signage.

These two co-located events will provide designers with the opportunity to explore the technology and innovations driving the trends in printed interior design and to see how they can turn their ideas into a reality.
