Pozzoni Heads For Housing Conference

National architects’ practice Pozzoni will be attending this year’s Chartered Institute of Housing (CIH) Conference and Exhibition for the fourth year. Pozzoni will be showcasing its last 12 months in the housing sector from stand E35 from 23rd to 25th June at Manchester Central.

The annual event sees professionals from across the sector gather to discuss best practice for the industry, as well as challenges and opportunities in the current climate.

Pozzoni has over 30 years’ experience in the social housing sector and in the last twelve months alone has completed the new build of over 550 homes across the UK as well as the refurbishment of a number of tower blocks resulting in 192 homes. The Community Housing and Care teams at Pozzoni’s offices in Altrincham and London are also currently on site working on over 400 further homes.

Commenting on the upcoming CIH conference and exhibition, David Hughes, chief executive at Pozzoni, said:

“We’re really looking forward to the conference. It’s always a great opportunity for us to learn and share our experiences with others working in the housing sector.

“This year the conference falls just over a month after the UK general election. It will be particularly interesting and important to discuss what any changes in government means for housing over the coming years. Therefore we have specially commissioned a report on the sector post-election which will be available at our stand at the conference.”

As well as the residential properties, Pozzoni completed six ‘extra care’ projects last year and is currently working on site on 200 more apartments. The team also completed three care schemes, with 230 rooms, and 36 supported housing homes.

David added:

“Across our two offices nearly 40 members of our team are working on housing projects. We are all passionate about designing homes that not only improve living standards for individual tenants, but for the wider community too”

“We have another busy year lined up with work due to start on site on over 200 homes, 250 extra care apartments and 250 beds in five care schemes”.

With over thirty years’ experience, Pozzoni has built up an impressive portfolio of public and private sector developments including offices, industrial, education, retail, housing, leisure, health and care projects from its offices in Altrincham and London.
