Maintenance and refurbishment specialist Novus Property Solutions is celebrating the ongoing success of its South West Coast offices, which recently completed 250 kitchen refurbishments for a string of high profile clients, including for social housing provider The Guinness Trust.
For Guinness Trust, Novus has carried out 130 kitchen replacements to a value of £450,000 across the landlord’s stock of 60,000 properties. The work included the removal and reinstallation of kitchens as well as the upgrading of electrics and flooring, showcasing Novus’ ability to deliver high quality service across multiple trades in tight timescales.
Novus, which has offices in Plymouth and Redruth, Cornwall, has an ongoing contract with Devon and Cornwall Housing and also completes work for student accommodation group UPP.
For UPP, the Novus team is in its eighth year of an ongoing national contract and has recently installed 17 large kitchens in student accommodation for Exeter University and Plymouth University. The high specification kitchens are a suitable size for eight people and were installed during a six-week period.
The team also completed major re-carpeting and vinyl works in the accommodation, along with redecoration work. New shower facilities were also installed, showcasing Novus’ ability to meet the varied needs of clients in short periods of time.
For Devon and Cornwall Housing, which Novus has had a major partnership with for six years, the firm consistently tops Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and recently achieved a 98% overall KPI rating.
The Novus team carries out pre-paint repairs and painting work across the housing association’s 10,000 homes in a contract which has been valued at about £3.75 million over the past six years. Works at a listed building in Torquay were recently carried out by the painting and decorating team from Novus’ Plymouth office.
The office has continually supported Devon and Cornwall Housing in its community volunteer programme, supporting schemes for the elderly and for children. During 2014, the office will donate a kitchen and associated refurbishment works to one of its sheltered schemes.
Mark Noad, strategic operations manager for the South West coast, said:
“Our South West coast offices continue to evolve and diversify in the type of works we deliver. Our aim is to deliver a high quality service for all of our clients in the region, securing workload for future years ahead on our many long term partnering and framework agreements. We look forward to continuing our work with existing clients and to expanding our partnerships in the future.”
