New Director for Corstorphine + Wright

National architectural practice, Corstorphine + Wright has appointed Paul Thrussell as a Director of the practice, based in Leeds and London.

Paul has joined Corstorphine + Wright with a key focus on commercial architecture, development of the practice’s Leeds studio, and generating new business.

Over his 30 year career, Paul has provided award winning innovative commercial design solutions for investment, end-user, and developer clients throughout the United Kingdom and Europe. He has worked with a diverse range of organisations and ran his own 80-person practice.

This has included the conversion of a number of high profile listed buildings including the Grade I listed Wool Exchange in Bradford, and York’s Chocolate Works, which was converted into an award-winning dementia care village.

Most recently, Paul was a senior director with international architectural practice, NORR and was responsible for high profile commercial projects such as Debenham’s Oxford Street store in London and CEG’s Smallbrook Queensway regeneration scheme in Birmingham city centre.

Paul, has also held visiting lectureships specialising in retail architecture at Herriot Watt University in Edinburgh and the University of Derby, will be splitting his time between the practice’s Leeds and London offices.
