New appointment to strengthen LK2 sport and leisure team

Sports and leisure architecture firm LK2 has welcomed Chris Burford-Bradshaw as its cost and project manager – Chris will be an integral part of the firms growing team, and will help the firm to offer new services.

Chris is a chartered building surveyor, and a member of the RICS Building Conservation Forum. Chris founded his own independent consultancy, Sutherland Consulting in 2005, and has since successfully delivered an array of projects across the retail, heritage, leisure and education sectors.

As the cost and project manager, Chris will work to keep projects and internal operations running smoothly. In his role, Chris will ensure that projects are efficiently delivered, whilst also carefully controlling and advising on budgets. A crucial part of Chris’s role, will consist of working closely with clients to understand what they would like to achieve during a project, and how LK2 can meet its clients goals.

Over the course of his career, Chris has undertaken work for large property estate holders including multiple retailers, property and development companies, property investors, independent schools and colleges, owner occupiers and tenants, and central and local government departments.

Chris has built a strong relationship with LK2, and he was involved in securing the firm’s appointment as architects for the rebuilding of the spa and leisure club for The Kenwick Park Estate in Louth.

LK2 is a unique firm of consultants who specialise in architecture, sports and education project development. Chris’s breadth of experience will make him a valuable part of the LK2 team, and will allow the firm to continue undertaking new and exciting projects.

Chris has previously held senior positions with regional, national and international consultancies including: Drivers Jonas, (now Deloitte), Sanderson Townend and Gilbert and Hodgson Elkington, before establishing Sutherland Consulting. Chris was also previously a partner in the well-respected national construction, project management and cost consultancy: Thornton-Firkin. After commencing his initial training in London, he has worked in Nottingham, York and for the last 15 years, in Lincolnshire.

LK2 work on a number of projects ranging from residential properties and office spaces to the development of town centres and large sports facilities.
