Lambeth based architects Stride Treglown are working alongside partners Sweett Group and WSP exploring how to maximise and improve leisure and community services at Brixton Recreation Centre.
Stride Treglown will build on its past local authority experience to develop feasibility proposals and options for improving the environmental performance of the much loved Brixton Recreation Centre.
Rob Mawson, Associate Architect at Stride Treglown commented:
“We’re a local firm so have a real understanding of why Brixton Rec is valued so highly in Lambeth. The big challenge is how to increase the use and environmental performance of the building, whilst retaining its character.”
Due to the complexity of the existing building and the potential uses, Stride Treglown have created a digital 3D model, which will enable them to explore the full potential of the building.
