Lincoln based architects, sports and leisure firm LK2 has announced the opening of a London office following growing demand for its services in the South.
The firm has experienced rapid growth over the past year throughout the UK, with demand for its unique mix of architectural and sport and leisure expertise.
LK2’s client base is largely based in London, and the London office is a strategic move for the firm – having a team based in the capital will enable LK2 to continue to grow its work in the southern region.
LK2’s current Southern projects include ongoing work with The Football Association (FA), a number of local authorities and also a number of high profile schemes including: significant park regeneration and asset transfer proposals alongside the full refurbishment of Market Road, Islington for the London Borough of Islington Council – which has seen a £2.5 million transformation of the first artificial grass pitches in London.
Dale Lui, managing director at LK2, said:
“We are very excited about the continued expansion of the LK2 group of companies and we have been planning a London base for a while. Having a permanent presence in London will help us to continue providing our unique services to even more businesses nationwide.
“While our HQ will remain in Lincoln, the London office will allow us to be ‘on the ground’ on local projects and will enhance our client service.”
Gary Johnson, director at LK2, said:
“We are excited to continue growing our team and our business in order to meet the demand for our unique blend of services and to develop, in line with our new and existing projects, the London and Southern regional markets.
“We are also certain that our London office will also allow us to optimise opportunities for our Midlands based clients, who will benefit from our services and growth too.”
LK2 has been growing progressively since its inception, but over the last 12 months the firm has appointed six members of staff taking the total to 17.
